Sikia Cafe in Jinja is not an ordinary restaurant. It is a social enterprise seeking to create employment opportunities for people with hearing impairment, as a challenge to the local community to be more accepting of persons with different abilities.
Most of the staff at Sikia have speech and hearing impairments, including all waiters and waitresses.
