“Nine-year old Jeremiah Arthur, who was featured in my documentary last December, A Boy’s Wish, has had that wish fulfilled. His left leg was chopped off in Takoradi in 2016 when the driver of the car that knocked him against a wall kept her foot on the accelerator until that leg fell. The Orthopaedic Training Centre in Nsawam has fixed a prosthetic leg for him at no cost. “I can walk, I can now climb the stairs and play a bit. I’m happy,” says Jeremiah. Bayport Savings and Loans has also finalised the agreement that will grant him a scholarship from now up until he completes his tertiary education. Thanks to all who helped to put some joy back in the life of Jerry and his family.”
Thanks to Manasseh for speaking for underprivileged people through his work as a journalist.
