Transformational Empowerment and Rural Integration in Africa (TERIA) with its core mission of empowerment has established an initiative known as Community Talent Search.
The Community Talent Search will start from March 2023, pilot within the regions of Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Volta and Northern respectively.
The concept of this Community Talent Search is to empower people with disabilities in order to unlock their potential and to deliver real change in society.
TERIA has realized that disability is not a hindrance to success. With a positive attitude and self-confidence, a disabled person can achieve anything he or she wants in life. There are many successful disabled persons who have shown that disability is not a hindrance to success.
With the right support from you, stakeholders, benevolent individuals, friends, government and the community, a disabled person can lead a successful life.
Community Talent Search under the auspicies of TERIA is earmarked to hone talented disabled individuals in this country and beyond.
As the saying of the black man is capable of managing his own affairs by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the adage disability is not an inability, we believe that a disabled person has the same gifts and talent as any other person. It is just a matter of using these skills in right way. A disabled person can use his skills to achieve success in any field he or she chooses. Therefore contributing towards the achievement of the sustainable development goal 1 and Agenda 2063.
