Pan-African Supports School For The Deaf

PAN-AFRICAN Savings and Loans has donated items and cash of GH₵3,000 to the Demonstration School for the Deaf in Mampong in the Eastern region.

The items, worth about GH₵12,000, included television sets, dustbins, plastic chairs, etc. and the GHS3,000 cash is to be used in acquiring essential tools for the School’s newly-built carpentry workshop.

Leading some staff members of Pan-African Savings and Loans to present the items to the school, Managing Director of Pan-African Savings and Loans, Ms Emelia Atta-Fynn said apart from the firm’s annual health screening programmes, its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities focus largely on supporting institutions that develop children and the youth within the communities in which it operates.

“It is our hope that our donation today will go a long way to support the education and upbringing of our wonderful children who find themselves in this institution. Every child has something to contribute to society if given the chance, and the truest measure of any society is how it treats those who are most vulnerable,” Ms Atta-Fynn noted.

She urged the pupils of the schools to take their studies seriously and thanked the teaching staff for their selfless devotion towards educating the children.

“To the pupils, I say we thank God for your lives and encourage you to focus on the skills being imparted to you, to enable you become productive members of this country.
